If you own the boots you NEED this...

Okay you may not need this particular set -- but if you own suede or sheepskin boots -- you at least need to own the brush that comes in this set. It is by far the most valuable tool out there when it comes to keeping your boots clean.



This is the set I bought and used so it's what I'm reviewing. I'm sure there are better kits available and possibly at a better value. I'm sure you are at least in part paying for the Ugg name.



At first I wasn't too impressed with this set -- largely because it didn't magically do what I expected it do to. Of course -- I've since come to learn that I didn't know how to use this set. Perhaps that is the single criticism this set deserves -- it does not come with in-depth instructions -- just the instructions on the bottles of solution -- so not the best source of information.



In January I bought a sand colored pair of Emu sheepskin boots. One night when it was raining I stepped out of my car and into a puddle in the gutter. One boot got soaked but I figured it would dry okay. I was wrong. The rainwater must have been greasy because it left dark brown stains all along the sole of my boot.



I tried everything to clean it and nothing worked. If anything I succeeded only in spreading the grease stains around. Soon the one boot looked drastically different from the other and I couldn't imagine wearing them in public anymore. That's when I ordered this cleaning kit -- but when I tried the cleaning solution -- it didn't seem to do anything.



Just as I was about to throw the boots away I started scouring the web for solutions. Eventually I found a site that detailed use of a nubuck brush -- like the one included in this set.



The brush has bristles on one side white chalk on the other. Along the sides of the brush are rubber teeth -- like a comb. Brushing the suede or sheepskin after it's been washed will restore the texture. But by far -- the white chalk is the best possible solution for grease stains. Rubbing the stains with the white chalk and then brushing it out works like a miracle. It took several applications to some stains -- but this brush saved my boots. Great for those chilly fall mornings.

I was reluctant to purchase these unless I found them on sale but after trying them on and wearing them for a bit I woulda payed full-price for these boots. They are the perfect "walk-your-kids-to-school" boots especially now that fall is here. They are stylish without being too fussy and comfortable just like slippers and warm while still letting your feet breath. My only concern is keeping them still looking new as the knit material can attract dirt. I originally got them in a light pink and later got them in grey. I find myself wearing the grey more often as the neutral colour matches well.



I recommend ordering down if you're a half size (ie. 7.5 order a 7) or sticking with your regular size if you're a solid number (ie. 8 should order 8). The liner does flatten out a bit after wearing and the knit does stretch a bit as well but not enough to size down a complete size.More detail ...

I fell in love with my Uggs the moment I slipped them onto my feet for the very first time. They are wonderfully comfortable & very warm. No your feet won't sweat in warm weather I promise. Most comfortable fit shoe of my life. I wear them at least 6 days a week! **Be sure to order a size down from your normal shoe size. I'm normally a 6 but I bought a 5.** Wear these withOUT socks and they feel like heaven. Wearing them with socks is bulky & well they weren't meant for sock wearing. Like wearing slippers in public--but better!


I bought these shoes in a light pink in the summer and I haven't taken them off since. They are versitile comfortable warm and ideal for walking long distances and shopping.



Just before buying them I'd been wearing strappy sandles and heals for 10-14 hours/day. After showing up for a peddicure with scabs and scars all over my poor feet my nail lady told me to try some Uggs. So I did. My feet have healed they are well insulated and stay moisturized because of the thick lining.



The uggs are so comfortable infact that they have inspired me to walk to work--1.5miles each way. How many shoes can you say that about? There is no break-in period and they feel like you are wearing nice slippers in public.



I don't worry about walking on ice in them because there isn't a heel to twist an ankle on and there is plenty of traction. Better than docs for the bad weather actually because the soles don't freeze and they keep your feet PLENTY warm.



There are only three drawbacks: the suede--I didn't treat it quick enough and now the water marks show from walking in the snow; and the casualness of them. As soon as I find uggs in something that works with a suit I'm set for life! In the meantime I wear them to walk to work change shoes in my office and then switch back into them if I know I'm not going to meetings for a while. The third is the height while I like the shorter boot for under jeans it isn't something that would look OK with anything else and certainly looks goofy by itself.



These shoes are in my main closet with the rest of the shoes I will never part with--my docs and birks. They belong in that elite shoe category of classic comfortable and well made. I can't wait to get another pair.

Super Cute Super Soft Super Warm

This is a very lovely and well-made slipper. Super soft and comfortable. These scuffs keep your feet warm and dry (if your feet sweat like mine do). Ordered a 1/2 size down. Ex: I wear a 7 1/2 and ordered a 7 and the fit was perfect. The only thing I don't like about the slipper is that it does not cover as much of my foot as I want; it only comes to about mid-foot leaving the rest exposed. Fabulous boot!

The Sunburst boot has a narrower foot than the Ultra or Sundance. I have the Ultra and Classic as well and the Sunburst is a bit sleeker in appearance which I like. The sizing is the same as for any other Ugg boot. I walked home in a snowstorm for 40 min. which was actually faster than being stuck on a bus and the boots were perfectly warm with ideal traction and later were as new looking as ever. (Always waterproof before wearing.) But I did spend 20 min. standing still waiting for a bus in single digit temps and my feet were getting cold at that point which wouldn't have happened with the Ultras. The tiny bit of difference in the thickness of the toe means that they can't keep your feet as warm in up to -30 below which is advertised for Uggs in general. However that is an extreme situation. I've worn these all day in the office without my feet feeling warm. These are a great addition to my wardrobe and well-worth the price. Also after searching the country for hours on the internet for this boot I was able to find it in my size only through Amazon and at a good price!! Very impressive!More detail ...

Great for wider calf buyers!

I love these boots for my wide calves! I have Uggs and Chookas and both fit too snugly to easily fit jeans inside. But since these boots wrap and tie I am able to slide jeans in with no problem. It's not just the side opening that's helpful for wearing them this way. Overall they seem to be a more generous fit through the upper foot ankle and calf. The only downside to this is that my size 8 feet are a little small for the size 8 boots I got. But the great color fun ties and high quality sheepskin merino and outsole more than make up for it! Indoor/Outdoor Houseshoes

I bought the UGG houseshoes for my 16-year-old niece. For some reason that I will never understand all the kids wear them everywhere. Yes they wear them outside to school the mall whatever. And you cannot refer to them as houseshoes. . .they are moccasins. The fact that I was able to locate the "moccasins" during the Christmas holidays upped my Cool Aunt status considerably. I have these boots in the light brown and I absolutely love them!! They are sooo warm for the winter and they are really comfortable I wear them everywhere. I actually just order a pair in black. When you first put them on some of the fur will come out but I think its only excess once you wear them a few times it doesn't shed and the more you wear it the more comfortable it becomes. I would definitely recommend these boots! I take a size 9.5 but I ordered them in a 9 and they fit perfectly so I would recommend going .5 a size smaller.More detail ...

The REAL Aussie Uggs!!!

To those saying these are a cheap substitute for real Australian uggs DO YOUR RESEARCH! These are one of the ONLY ugg boots available on the US market that are made with 100% Australian sheepskin unlike others that claim to be Australian (even including it in their brand name) but are really an American owned company who get their boots made in China and don't use 100% Australian wool products the only use a small percentage and substitute the rest with inferior blends.

These boots are not meant to be washed and the will be very snug when you first put them on as the wool takes a few days to mold around our foot. If you are planning on wearing these outside you should waterproof them. Ugg boots were originally designed to be like a slipper you wont get many self-respecting Australians wearing them outside unless they don't care what they look like the name "Ugg" comes from UGLY!

As an Australian these are the only ugg boots I would buy outside of Australia and I wouldn't be caught dead in those inferior substitutes that call themselves Australian but cost twice the price.More detail ...

The only Emu boot style you should buy!

I love these- the quality of these boots are superb. I have a few pairs of Uggs and Emus- they are all my favorite (depending on the day) but I absolutely love these boots. I have them in black and didn't find the dye transfer on my feet an issue.

I am a size 8.5 and find the 8 fitting just right. There is a bit of arch and heel support that Ugg Classics lack.

If choosing between these and the Emu Bronte Hi forget the Brontes and buy these instead. You definitely pay for the quality and it is worth it! I buy my 4 year old the Brontes and splurge on the good ones for myself!
